We are true believers in my house of supporting local farmers and knowing where our food come from. Not only for the health of our family, but also because my parents own and operate a 20 acre farm here in Westminster which produces meat, eggs, vegetables, flowers, and more all with sustainable farming practices. They sell these healthful and yummy items at local farmers markets and bring a new meaning to simplicity, real and organic. While they are not certified organic, they use earth-friendly, animal-friendly practices and on Earth Day, I thought it would only be appropriate to honor them. Personally, I love the definition of “organic” from VisualThesaurus.com: simple, healthful and close to nature. All of those describe the heart of local farming. Below is a portrait featuring Evermore Farm’s free-range chicken eggs. Enjoy the simplicity and wonder of honest growing from an honest earth!
